Overview

Objective:

Medical providers are key to our multidisciplinary care team, which uses telemedicine extensively. Providers deliver direct care, manage medications, and prioritize member safety and engagement. In addition to these duties, Lead Staff Providers support the medical team by providing “curbside consultations” and day-to-day support for escalations, providing cross-coverage for part time and 1099 medical providers, developing and delivering training materials for medical providers, partnering with operational leaders and medical directors on change-management initiatives, and ensuring quality of care through chart reviews and direct observations.

Summary:

At Groups, the lead staff provider provides essential support and backup for our team of providers. They also serve as the primary medical consultants for the non-medical members of the care team. The lead staff provider will manage a team of contract and staff providers across multiple locations. The lead staff provider will have a mixture of direct care and administrative management responsibilities, averaging out to 50% direct care and 50% administrative management.
