Overview

Groups Recover Together is an outpatient addiction medicine provider that delivers comprehensive outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Based on the principle that recovery is tied to aspects of life that are beyond the reach of an office visit, our care model includes three core modalities that are proven to help individuals get their lives back on track -- medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation.  We pride ourselves in providing high quality clinical treatment and team-based support needed to build a life worth living sober. 

Responsibilities

At Groups, the Business Development Manager will report into the Growth team and manage the community network, in/out referral network locally, and brand awareness for all locations across the state.

  • Become an expert in the Groups mission and treatment model. Effectively articulate what makes Groups unique and differentiates us from competitors to diverse target audiences (healthcare professionals, criminal justice, payers, case managers, etc.)
  • Drive scheduled intakes in territory offices. Identify, develop, and build a community network and pipeline of business/referral opportunities (e.g., hospitals, correctional facilities, churches)
  • Maintains a regular servicing schedule that organizes a balance of referral partner maintenance (e.g., ensuring they're still referring to us and have up-to-date information) and new business development (finding new sources)
  • Create and maintain a network of healthcare referral sources (both referrals in and out) in order to increase referrals and improve the resources for patient navigators. Work with patient navigators to identify gaps in our current out-referral network
  • Ensure new office openings are properly marketed and see the expected intake growth in initial months following the openings
  • Attend presentations and local/regional conferences and events to increase community awareness for Groups. Partner and co-present with clinical/operational leaders when necessary
  • Work closely with internal team members, including market-level operational leads and clinical directors, in developing strategy for driving overall network growth across assigned territory
  • Identify, develop, and build a community network and pipeline of business, including referral opportunities (e.g., hospitals, correctional facilities, churches). 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS/BA required and 2-3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/medical healthcare or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful relationship building and territory/sales growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth, mission driven organization.
  • Experience working with grassroots marketing in multi-location organization.
  • Ability to track and analyze local community KPIs.
  • Strong ability to communicate across different levels of the organization, across business units and with external participants
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and own transportation to travel to multiple offices.
